PSA: Nana Nature

Nana Nature is an environmental PSA focuses on raising awareness of plastic pollution in ocean with surreal, bittersweet, and nostalgic tone coming from Nana’s perspective.

CHALLENGE

April 22 is Earth Day. 2018 Earth Day campaign focuses on ending plastic pollution. From poisoning and injuring marine life, disrupting human hormones, littering our beaches and landscape to clogging our waste streams and landfill. The exponential growth of plastics is now threatening the survival of our planet. Many people are ignorant to the issue simply because they are not aware or they think it's not their problem. How do we raised the issue of plastic pollution in a more personable way?

SOLUTION

When a bittersweet nana ask people for a favor, everyone can’t help but having an internal urge to help. Mother Nature is personified as tired old Nana Nature. She is in her apartment which is a representation of Earth. Her surrounding is a visual representation of the ongoing problem of plastic pollution As she rants about the plastic pollution, she states that she is just one person and that if we were all to help out, things would be better.
